MIDAS Healthcare Solutions’ Inception
MIDAS Healthcare Solutions emerged in 2017, born out of the urgent need to address the alarming lapses in medication security contributing to the rising diversion of controlled substances, a primary driver of the nation’s opioid epidemic.
The Catalyst – Michael LaFauci
At the heart of MIDAS Healthcare Solutions was Founder and CEO Michael LaFauci, driven by a vision to create a safe method for neutralizing and disposing of Fentanyl patches. Recognizing that these patches were prescribed widely with no proper means of disposal, he conceived the Patch Catcher™, a groundbreaking solution aimed at reducing exposure to discarded medication. This innovative concept spurred a wider conversation about medication security across the healthcare landscape, leading to the creation of the MIDAS Healthcare Solutions team to tackle these pressing issues.
